european kitchen
Growing up, we would always spend our summers in a beautiful little town in Finland called Kiukainen.
In her warm kitchen where a smell of cinnamon, coffee, and freshly baked bread filled the air, our Mummu (grandmother) would greet us with big hugs and a table full of our favorite baked goods.
bäking roots
Mummu, our five aunts and our mother taught us everything there is to know about baking. They also showed us the importance of creating everything from scratch and using fresh ingredients. With them, we would often go berry picking in the forest behind our house and hurry home to bake heavenly blueberry pies and sip on coffee.
what's a bäxter?
A baxter is an old Anglo-Saxon and Scottish name for female baker. As bäxters ourselves, we wanted to recreate and share this feeling of love and warmth we experienced every summer in Finland; so we gathered up all our family recipes, perfected them and created a European kitchen run by passionate bäxters!
freshly baked
Every day, we take the time to make our bread, pastries, cakes, breakfasts and brunches as we always have - with care and dedication. We’ve created unique food moments and a place where our customers can feel at home.
We're just ordinary bäxters, who bake extraordinary things!
